Huang said that Guangdong, a leading province in economy, trade and technological innovation, and a pioneer of China's reform and opening-up, will unlock more development opportunities for global partners including Australia during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).

He called for enhanced collaboration in sci-tech innovation, ecological conservation, new energy, biomedicine and smart manufacturing via platforms such as the Canton Fair and welcomed Australian firms to invest in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He also proposed closer ties in education, research, cultural exchanges and tourism.

Dick said that Australia values a stable and constructive bilateral relationship and looks forward to deepening cooperation with Guangdong in legislative bodies, economy, trade and investment, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, higher education and technology.
