On Nov 17, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) hosted a technology matchmaking event in Nansha, Guangzhou, unveiling over 240 innovations from 52 CAS institutions. Held alongside major cooperation project signings, the event aimed to accelerate the commercialization of scientific achievements in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
The event coincided with CAS's 75th anniversary and 15 years of strategic collaboration with Guangdong province. Over the past decade and a half, the partnership has fostered cutting-edge platforms and talent, particularly since the launch of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan.

CAS has established 10 major scientific infrastructures in Guangdong, including the China Spallation Neutron Source in Dongguan and the Jiangmen Neutrino Experiment, which have driven advancements in fields such as aerospace, materials science, and renewable energy. Recent breakthroughs, like the 5T whole-body MRI system and wave energy technologies, underline CAS's commitment to tackling global challenges and advancing industrial competitiveness.
