Massachusetts, nestled in the northeastern corner of the United States within the New England region, spans 27,336 square kilometers and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The state is known for its jagged coastline, which boasts numerous excellent harbors, and enjoys a temperate climate characterized by pronounced seasons — short summers and extended winters. It is home to approximately 7.1 million residents. As an industrial powerhouse, Massachusetts has a concentration of industries along its eastern seaboard, with Boston the preeminent manufacturing hub. Recently, the state has seen a surge in emerging industries such as biomedicine and robotics, earning it the moniker of the "Silicon Valley of the East".
