Overview:
Queensland is located in northeastern Australia, with a population of approximately 5.24 million and an area of 1.72 million square kilometers. The state spans 2,100 kilometers from north to south and 1,450 kilometers from east to west (including nearby islands), with a coastline stretching for 7,400 kilometers. The northern part of Queensland has a tropical to subtropical climate, while the southern part has a temperate climate. The Queensland government is one of the eight states/territories that make up the Commonwealth of Australia, with its capital in Brisbane. The state is rich in mineral resources, has a well-developed agriculture and livestock industry, and a relatively advanced technology sector, leading the nation in areas such as seawater desalination, environmental protection technology and life sciences. Queensland is also known for its thriving tourism industry, with world-renowned destinations like the Gold Coast, tropical rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns.
Relations with Guangdong:
Guangdong and Queensland have a long history of friendly exchanges. In recent years, the two regions have carried out productive exchanges and cooperation in various fields, including trade, agriculture, tourism, education and training, and high technology, contributing to the economic and social development of both areas.
