Overview:

Alberta province is located in western Canada, neighboring British Columbia (whose port city is Vancouver). It covers an area of 660,000 square kilometers and has a population of over 4 million. The capital city is Edmonton.

Alberta is a major energy province in Canada, rich in resources such as oil, natural gas, oil sands, shale gas, and coal. The province excels in exploration, extraction, and production technologies. It also boasts abundant agricultural and forestry resources, serving as a key producer of grains, feed, oilseed crops, and timber in Canada.

Alberta is renowned worldwide for its research and achievements in artificial intelligence, autonomous driving technology, nanotechnology, environmental technology, and life sciences.

For 20 consecutive years, Alberta has had the highest economic growth rate in Canada and is also the province with the lowest taxes. Its main industries include energy and clean technology, petrochemicals, agriculture, technology, aviation and logistics, tourism, and financial services.

Relations with Guangdong:

Since establishing friendly relations, the two provinces have actively engaged in exchanges and cooperation in fields such as trade, education, and cultural tourism, signing memorandums of cooperation in trade, education, and technology.

In 2016, the government of Alberta established an office in Guangzhou.
