Francophonie Football Tournament kicks off in Guangzhou

On March 10, the Guangdong - Francophonie Countries Football Friendship Tournament was held in Guangzhou.

The event was jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Guangdong Sports Bureau, and the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou.

The football team from Guangdong Experimental High School and players from various Francophonie football clubs participated in the event with enthusiasm. Four exciting five-a-side matches were held at the Guangdong Experimental High School sports field, allowing the participants to showcase their football skills, which helps enhance friendships between China and foreign countries.

Guests attending the opening ceremony and watching the matches included Chen Guangjun, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province; Lei Jianjun, deputy director-level official of the Guangdong Sports Bureau; Olivier Ngo, Science and Higher Education Attache at the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou; and Cai Zhi, president of Guangdong Experimental High School.
