Liu Chenzi meets with Australian consul general in Guangzhou

Liu Chenzi, director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, met with Timothy Kendall, consul general of Australia in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on Sept 12. 

Liu noted that, over the past decade, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Australia has seen significant progress. In this context, the friendly relations between Guangdong and Australia have been further strengthened and expanded. She expressed a desire for close collaboration with the consulate to enhance exchanges in areas such as trade, green development and cultural interaction, injecting more vitality into the bilateral relationship.

Kendall emphasized that this year holds particular significance for the China-Australia relationship and the friendship between Guangdong and New South Wales. He mentioned the increasing frequency of mutual visits and the deepening of cooperation.

Kendall said he hopes to better serve the bilateral relationship during his tenure, enhancing local friendships and elevating cooperation between Guangdong and Australia to new heights.
