Wang said he hoped that ExxonMobil, leveraging its global leadership in petrochemicals, would expedite the completion and operation of the first phase of the Huizhou ethylene project, capitalize on the opportunities to connect its first and second phases, introduce more advanced and environmentally friendly products to the market, and attract more downstream supporting enterprises and international partners to Guangdong.

Wang added that Guangdong would continue to create a world-class, market-oriented, law-based business environment with an international outlook, further facilitating foreign investment, and providing efficient, high-quality services to support ExxonMobil's development in the province.

Williams thanked Guangdong for its strong support of ExxonMobil's business operations. He provided an update on the progress of the Huizhou ethylene project, noting that significant results had been achieved thanks to close cooperation between both sides.

ExxonMobil remains optimistic about Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's future development and will continue to promote the project's construction safely and efficiently, he added.

Williams also said that his company will leverage its technical expertise to expand cooperation and help Guangdong build a world-class green petrochemical base.
