Overview:

Nova Scotia is located in the southeastern part of Canada, with a population of approximately 1 million and an area of 55,283 square kilometers. The capital city is Halifax. The province's main industries include aerospace and defense, financial services, information and communication technology, life sciences, clean technology, and marine industries. Its primary export products include fish, rubber, mineral fuels, mineral oils, asphalt materials and mineral waxes, paper products, wood pulp, and plastics. The province is home to 10 universities and 13 community colleges, with a strong focus on fostering students' innovation capabilities.

Relations with Guangdong:

Since the establishment of the friendly relations between Guangdong and Nova Scotia, their friendship has continuously developed, with frequent high-level exchanges and ongoing cooperation in areas such as trade, culture, and tourism. Universities such as the Zhuhai campus of Beijing Normal University have established partnerships with various institutions in Nova Scotia. In May 2018, a Nova Scotia promotion event was held during the China (Shenzhen) Cultural Industries Fair, and in April 2019, the Guangdong Museum of Art collaborated with the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia to hold an exhibition in Guangzhou titled "Maud Lewis and Contemporary Artworks of Nova Scotia."
