Yunfu

Yunfu city is located in the mid-west of Guangdong province. It neighbors the cities of Zhaoqing, Foshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang and Maoming in Guangdong, along with Wuzhou of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Yunfu is a typical mountain city with a total area of 7,785 square kilometers, 60.5 percent of which is made up of mountainous terrain. The city administers two districts, two counties and one county-level city, namely Yun'an district, Yuncheng district, Xinxing county, Yunan county and Luoding city.

Yunfu boasts abundant mineral resources and is known as the "City of Sulfur" and the "City of Stones". The city has discovered 58 types of minerals, with more than 300 mineral deposits (including mineralized points). Among these, 47 minerals have confirmed resource reserves across 166 deposits. This includes 2 types of energy minerals in 4 deposits, 19 types of metal minerals in 67 deposits, 25 types of non-metallic minerals in 91 deposits, and 1 type of water and gas mineral in 4 deposits.

The city's main mineral advantage lies in its non-metallic minerals, including cement-grade limestone, pyrite, arsenic, and granite (for construction and decoration). Yunfu's pyrite reserves account for 50.92 percent of the total reserves in Guangdong province, the highest in the province, primarily distributed in the area from Dajiangping to Shibankeng in Yuncheng district.

Yunfu also possesses rich tourism resource. Major tourist attractions include Guangdong Tianlu Mountain Tourist Resort, Yunfu International Stone Expo Center, Yunan Dawang Mountain Scenic Area, Tianlu Mountain Tourist Resort, and Panlong (Dragon) Cave, etc.
