Lin Tao attends Singapore National Day reception

Lin Tao, vice-governor of Guangdong province, honored the invitation to attend the Singapore National Day reception hosted by the Consulate General of Singapore in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on August 8.

During his speech, Lin highlighted the 34 years of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, emphasizing the frequent high-level exchanges and the expanding areas of cooperation. He noted that under the positive bilateral relationship, cooperation between Guangdong and Singapore has been comprehensive, deep, and fruitful.

Lin stated that Guangdong is unwavering in its commitment to deepening reforms, expanding high-level openness, and steadily enhancing institutional openness. He also spoke about the province's efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment more effectively, leveraging high-level openness to drive high-quality development in Guangdong.

Lin also expressed his willingness to work closely with Singapore to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries. This includes maximizing the advantages of relevant cooperative mechanisms and platforms, and strengthening exchanges and cooperation in areas such as technology, education, finance, and green energy. Together, they aim to build a high-quality Belt and Road Initiative and elevate the China-Singapore partnership to new heights.
