Zhang Shaokang, vice-governor of Guangdong province, honored the invitation to attend the Swiss National Day reception hosted by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on August 1.

In his speech, Zhang said under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the China-Switzerland Innovative Strategic Partnership has continued to advance, benefiting the people of both nations.

He emphasized that as one of the world's most important international financial centers and a country renowned for technological innovation, Switzerland is a key partner for Guangdong. 

The exchanges between the two regions in various fields embody a pioneering spirit of innovation, he added.

Zhang said that Guangdong remains steadfast in deepening comprehensive reforms and expanding high-level openness, which will provide global partners with broader and more vibrant opportunities for cooperation. He expressed Guangdong's eagerness to collaborate with Switzerland at all sectors, to jointly pursue development, share opportunities, and create an even brighter future.
