Chen Liangxian, a member of the leading Party members group of Guangdong provincial government, attended the reception celebrating French National Day hosted by the French Embassy in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on July 15.

In his speech, Chen highlighted Guangdong's role as a significant witness to Sino-French friendship, noting the fruitful cooperation achieved with France in economic and trade investment, science and technology education, cultural creativity, and tourism.

Currently, Guangdong is prioritizing the coordinated development of foreign trade, foreign investment, outsourcing, foreign economy, and foreign intelligence to foster a new high-level open economic system, Chen said, which aims to boost Guangdong's high-quality development and modernization through increased openness.

Chen expressed his willingness to take advantage of the opportunity presented by the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France and the China-France Year of Tourism and Culture, to implement vital agreements reached by the leaders of both countries.

He emphasized the comprehensive promotion of open cooperation across all sectors, aiming to make a substantial contribution to fortifying and invigorating the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and France.
