The 19th meeting of Japan-Guangdong Economic Promotion Council, co-hosted by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Hyogo Prefectural Government, was held in Kobe, Japan in June.

The conference focused on topics such as "the Economic Outlook of China and Japan" and "Marching Towards Green and Low-carbon Economy, and Reaching High-quality Green Development". Among those who addressed the meeting were Huang Ningsheng, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, Yasutaka Katayama, deputy governor of Hyogo Prefecture, and Xue Jian, China's consul general in Osaka.

Representatives from government bodies, institutions and enterprises from both China and Japan attended the meeting.
