Qian Hongjie meets with president of Association for Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Cooperation

Qian Hongjie, vice-president of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, met with Indrananda Abeysekera, president of the Association for Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Cooperation, in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on May 20.

Qian welcomed President Abeysekera and expressed her gratitude for his dedication and contributions to fostering the China-Sri Lanka friendship. She hoped that as an overseas special advisor of the Guangdong Province's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and a friend of the people of Guangdong, Abeysekera would continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields.

Abeysekera outlined the upcoming work plans of the Association for Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Cooperation and thanked the Guangdong Province's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries for its longstanding support and attention. He  expressed his desire to maintain close contact with Guangdong and emphasized the importance of conducting diverse grassroots exchange and cooperation projects to enhance mutual understanding and connectivity between the people of both regions.
