The Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou held an event for the Malaysian community to celebrate Eid al-Fitr on April 13th.

The Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, Suraya Pauzi, welcomed local Malaysians to the event, the majority of whom were working and studying in Guangzhou and other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

She noted that 2024 was a significant year for Malaysia-China relations as both countries would be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. "This presents an opportunity for Malaysians in China to collaborate and further strengthen people-to-people connections, as well as trade and investment links," said Pauzi.
