Gansu's imports and exports with ASEAN reached 12.51 billion yuan ($1.87 billion) in the first three quarters of this year, up 62.3 percent year-on-year and accounting for 20.5 percent of the province's total foreign trade.

During this period, Lanzhou Customs used free trade agreement benefits to support exporters, issuing 2,102 certificates of origin under the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, up 70.6 percent year-on-year.

Zhou Fang, head of a Tianshui-based freight forwarding company, said certificates can now be applied for online and printed within half a day, greatly improving efficiency. As an exporter of Huaniu apples to Vietnam and Indonesia, she said the certificates help reduce tariffs and enhance the competitiveness of Gansu's agricultural products in ASEAN markets.

Tianshui Customs has provided tailored guidance to over 30 exporters, explaining ASEAN import requirements and helping prevent verification risks, ensuring certificates are issued accurately and used effectively.
