Since forming a friendly relationship in 2007, Gansu province in northwestern China and Grodno Region in Belarus have achieved significant results across various fields.
In April 2022, Gansu and Grodno signed the 2022-2023 Cooperation Plan via video conference, setting the stage for friendly engagements and practical collaborations. Grodno's governor participated in the Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair in 2023 and 2024, leading to the signing of the 2024-2026 Cooperation Plan, which further enhances bilateral cooperation.
Economic and trade partnerships have shown tangible results. Using platforms such as the Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, Grodno has hosted investment promotion events, while Gansu enterprises have engaged in the construction of the China-Belarus Industrial Park.
Medical and educational exchanges have flourished, with Gansu establishing a traditional Chinese medicine center in Grodno in 2017 and engaging in health sector exchanges. In 2018, institutions in Gansu sent Russian translators to State University of Grodno for talent development.
Cultural and tourism exchanges have also warmed, with both regions hosting "Tourism Year" events and showcasing cultural performances.
