In recent years, Ganzhou district in Zhangye has focused on developing its vegetable industry cluster, steering it toward a ten billion-yuan scale. The district now boasts over 400,000 mu (26,666.67 hectares) of vegetable planting area, generating more than 20 billion yuan ($2.8 billion) in output value. With annual production exceeding 2 million tons, the vegetable sector has significantly boosted local agricultural efficiency and farmers' income.
