In Leizhai village, Dangzhai town, Zhangye, farmers at the organic vegetable seedling center were busy transferring baby Chinese cabbage seedlings from nursery greenhouses to cultivation facilities on Feb 14.
Across twenty Ganzhou villages, including Leizhai, Chenzhai and Mazhan, farmers are seizing the optimal planting window. The greenhouses are bustling with activity as workers spray water, thin out seedlings, transplant crops and monitor growth. The seedling trays showcase robust baby vegetables, peppers and red bamboo shoots, with strong stems and vigorous growth, laying a solid foundation for the first harvest of highland summer vegetables.
