Regions along the Qilian Mountains in Mati Tibetan township, Sunan Yugu autonomous county in Gansu province are embracing the most beautiful season of the year with colorful trees adding beauty to the landscapes.

When the weather is pleasant, the red and yellow leaves shimmer under the sunlight. Set against the crystal-blue sky  the entire landscape appears like an exquisite oil painting.

In recent years, Zhangye has made efforts to protect and restore the ecological environment in the Qilian Mountains. Rare animals such as snow leopards have begun to appear.
