In midsummer, the Sunan Yugu autonomous county in Zhangye, Gansu province is covered with verdant grass and fragrant flowers.

While visiting the grassland, tourists can enjoy the blue sky, flocks of cattle and sheep that form an idyllic picture.

Sunan, located on the northern stretch of the Qilian Mountains, boasts ecological diversity and is inhabited by several ethnic groups, predominately the Yugur people.
