Plateau predator captured in Qilian Mountains National Park
Extraordinary videos of snow leopards hunting were captured recently at the Qilian Mountains National Park, 25 kilometers from Minle county, Zhangye, Gansu province.
The snow leopard in the video has a strong body. After hanging out in the bush for a while, it walked past the infrared camera with its prey, a blue sheep, in its mouth.
The snow leopard, a national first-class protected species, is a rock-dwelling animal in the plateau area. It often lives in the bare rock of permanent ice and snow alpine and the cold desert. It is regarded as the "barometer" of the plateau's ecosystem.
