Ethnic cultural tourism festival blows into town in Zhangye
An ethnic cultural tourism festival kicked off on Aug 9 in Huangcheng town, Sunan Yugur autonomous county, Zhangye, Gansu province.

Jockeys from Yugur, Tibetan and other ethnic groups rode their horses, chasing each other down a well-worn way on the grassland.

Apart from horseracing, the three-day event held basketball games, art performances and bonfire parties.
Integrating sports events, local tourism, and ethnic customs, festival organizers hope to present a unique spectacle for visitors along with boosting the local tourism industry.
