July is a popular time to visit the Singing Sand Mountains and Crescent Moon Lake scenic spot in Dunhuang, Gansu province. Visitors are most interested in riding camels across the desert to enjoy the ancient Silk Road culture.
According to the municipal culture and tourism authority, the number of visitors to the Crescent Spring Scenic Spot exceeded 10,000, with the daily tally of tourists reaching its peak this year.
