The 2025 Fujian Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Awards Ceremony took place on Sept 9, in Xiamen.

It marked the first time a Fujian provincial-level competition of this kind was held on a global scale, leveraging the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade to attract talent through competition and provide a platform for high-level international and domestic talents to develop in Fujian.

The competition featured three categories: the digital economy, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing.

It attracted 683 project entries from 39 countries and regions, with 348 projects advancing to the preliminary round. After hard-fought final rounds, three projects won first prizes, six projects received second prizes and 15 projects were awarded third prizes.

To facilitate the implementation of these innovations in Fujian, the competition established a project docking and coordination mechanism, hosting investment and financing matchmaking and project negotiations events. During the awards ceremony, eight projects were signed up on-site.
