Lacquer mural creation documentary exhibition to offer breathtaking experience

From Nov 8 to Dec 4, the Ode to the Great Wall Lacquer Mural Creation Documentary Exhibition will debut at the Xiamen Art Museum in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province.

The exhibition will feature an immersive 3D experience area using technological methods, allowing visitors to experience the awe-inspiring Ode to the Great Wall. Additionally, it will include photos, manuscripts, videos, interviews, and more to showcase the creation process of the artwork and to explore and display the spirit of the Great Wall that the Ode to the Great Wall embodies.

Ode to the Great Wall spans 600 square meters, making it the world's largest lacquer mural at 40 meters long and 15 meters high. It symbolizes the pinnacle of contemporary artistic achievement.

The artwork was led by Professor Cheng Xiangjun from the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University. From overall planning, sketch creation, design, and production to project management and installation, the creative team has strived for excellence and demonstrated ingenuity every step of the way, contributing to the innovative development of traditional lacquer painting art.

This exhibition not only celebrates the grandeur of the Great Wall but also signifies a significant advancement in the realm of lacquer painting, promising a captivating experience for all attendees.
