Young dreamers find their future in restoring classic movies
While many young people flock to bustling cities for their careers, a group of dedicated individuals have chosen a different path. In the scenic, mountainous county of Anxi in Fujian province, East China, a new generation is making their mark in the world of cinema.
Zhu Siying is one of them, working at the Anxi Digital Resources Center of the China Film Archive. These passionate film preservationists are committed to reviving and preserving old movies, ensuring that the magic of cinema endures for future generations.
"Since films serve as a record of their era, restoration is like reviving the light and shadows of that time. Through our work, we hope that more and more young people will want to understand, watch and even fall in love with old movies," said Zhu.
