Xiamen International Design and Art Week 2024 kicked off at the Xiamen Art Museum on March 22. Titled "Yue Dong: Design Creates High-Quality Life," the event features an international exhibition showcasing cutting-edge designs, five high-quality academic events, and three open design classes.

The event is intended to boost innovation and creativity in the city, as well as contribute to the development of new productive forces in Xiamen.

Running from March 22 to April 6 at the Xiamen Art Museum, the exhibition showcases exceptional works from 72 renowned designers, artists, and independent studios representing 15 countries and regions. These works not only demonstrate exceptional skills and innovative thinking but also highlight the intrinsic relationship between design and contemporary life.

The exhibition is organized around four main themes: art, digital, space, and life, encompassing various art forms including paintings, sculptures, installations, architecture, furniture products, and digital imagery.

According to Professor Yang Dongjiang, the chief planner of this year's Xiamen International Design and Art Week and Vice Dean of the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, the exhibition aims to deepen the audience's appreciation of design. Moreover, it serves as a platform for designers, artists, and art enthusiasts to engage in and explore the role of design art in addressing significant social issues.
