The opinions include 22 articles in six categories, including deepening economic and trade cooperation and increasing humanistic exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan.
The opinions further clarify the purpose of demonstration zones for integrated cross-Strait development. It is proposed that work should be centered on creating three demonstration models for cross-Strait social integration, economic integration, and compatriot emotional integration, as well as developing a new pattern for integration in the whole of Fujian.
The goal is that by 2025, substantial progress will be made in becoming a demonstration zone for integrated cross-Strait development.
The opinions also highlight the focus on making Taiwan compatriots willing to come, stay, integrate and develop well. Policy arrangements will be made for equal treatment in transportation, payment facilitation, buying houses, medical insurance and social security for Taiwan compatriots; policy support will be strengthened for visits and exchanges, study, employment and entrepreneurship, and rule of law for Taiwan compatriots; and things will be made more convenient and more opportunities will be available to Taiwan compatriots in terms of optimizing the business environment, expanding development paths, and promoting transformation and upgrading.
