Digital China Summit promotes modernization
The sixth Digital China Summit, which was held from April 27 to April 28 in Fuzhou, Fujian province, saw the signing of more than 600 digital economy projects, with investments of more than 335 billion yuan ($48 billion).
With the theme of "Accelerating the construction of digital China to promote Chinese modernization", the two-day summit focused on showcasing the latest achievements of digital China's development and provided platforms for experts to share their experience, Zhang Dingfeng, vice-mayor of Fuzhou, said at a news conference on Thursday.
A report on digital China's development in 2022 was released during the summit. More than 1,300 guests in the field of digital economy attended.
As an important part of the summit, an exhibition on digital achievements opened to the public at the same time in Fuzhou. Some 6,000 achievements in the digital economy were highlighted. More than 10 million visitors participated in the exhibition online or offline.
There was also an innovation contest, which started in January. Designing of digital city was one of many topics. More than 60 competitive activities were held, and about 27,000 people attended the contests.
