In June this year, "Shengze 901" white-feather chicken broilers, which were independently developed by Fujian Sunner Group, one of Asia's largest chicken breeders, officially bulk supplied the market.

"Thanks to the Communist Party of China's good policies, the group has made fruitful achievements," said Fu Guangming, CEO of the group, which is headquartered in Guangze county, Fujian province.

In 1982, when Fu registered the first private company in Fujian province, he began his life-long career in breeding chickens.

The group has developed from a small individual chicken breeding workshop into a large company with over 500 production centers and an annual production of 600 million chickens.

China became the largest consumer of white-feather chicken broilers since they were imported in 1980s, but the breeds were monopolized by European and American enterprises.

Fu has invested a total of 1.4 billion yuan ($195.31 million) since 2011 to breed more white-feather chicken broilers.

In 2019, the group bred 11 original breeds and China's first sub-breed of the original breed.

Fu has also made plans for boosting rural vitalization. The group has over 300 plants in Fujian, Jiangxi, and Gansu provinces, offering on-the-job training and employment in these areas.

Fu believes that the key of rural vitalization lies in industry. In recent years, supported by industrial chains and projects, the group has made contributions to rural vitalization.
