Maluan Bay Smart Sports Park, the first smart sports park in Xiamen, Fujian province, was put into operation and opened to the public for free on Sept 24.

Located on the south shore of Maluan Bay in Haicang district, Xiamen, the smart sports park covers 20 hectares and its greening rate has reached nearly 80 percent.

The smart sports park includes a 2,000-meter-long smart fitness trail, which consists of systems featuring interactive screens and heart rate monitors, a public working out zone, a football pitch, a basketball court, and different zones for the elderly, children, and people with special needs, which are intended to meet the different fitness needs of different age groups.

The smart sports park also has sports equipment that utilizes the internet of things to collect, analyze, and show people's personalized exercising data.
