Longyan launches first China-Europe freight train

A "Hong Gu Tian" China-Europe freight train, which transported 50 carriages loaded with $2.2 million worth of goods that included machinery products, daily necessities, and baby products departed from Longyan, Fujian province on April 29 for Moscow, Russia.
The freight train is expected to travel 10,747 kilometers in 15 days.
This marked the first China-Europe freight train that departed from Longyan, as well as the fourth in Fujian province, following the ones in Xiamen, Mount Wuyi, and Quanzhou.
This is also the first transnational cargo train from the old revolutionary region in western Fujian, marking the further opening-up of the old revolutionary regions and hinterland areas.
In addition, Longyan is stepping up efforts to open a China-Laos freight train and a China-Asia freight train.
To support the development of Longyan's China-Europe freight train and the high-quality development of the old revolutionary region in western Fujian, the province will bolster its efforts to expand resources, increase lines and volume, and enhance the radiation capacity of its logistics network.
