He also noted that a new industrial ecosystem will be developed in the future and will involve raw material processing, battery manufacturing, operation services, and material recycling.

A white paper entitled "Energy in China's New Era", which was released by the State Council Information Office this November, stated that the country has been improving the top-level design of energy policies relating to scientific and technological innovation and making strategic plans for the sci-tech development of the resource and energy industries until 2035, which will bolster the development of new energy vehicles, according to Zeng.

He noted that CATL will implement a strategy of innovation-driven development to pursue high levels of efficiency and quality, improve production capacity, and reduce production costs with the aim of strengthening competitiveness in the global market.
