ICBC vows to help Fujian develop digital economy

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) has deepened cooperation with Fujian province in smart industries such as industrial internet and will fully support the province in becoming digitalized. ICBC will offer more support to Fujian, aiming to help the province grow into a model of digitalization in China and a new center for the development of the country's digital economy, according to Chen Siqing, chairman of ICBC.
Chen made the remarks at the 3rd Digital China Summit, which kicked off in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, on Oct 12.
Chen said that Fujian has made remarkable achievements in the construction of a digital Fujian over the past 20 years. Digital transformation has become an unstoppable trend in promoting China's economic and social development, and China's financial industry should step up efforts to accelerate digital transformation.
ICBC is making efforts to build a digital bank, and looks forward to expanding its cooperation with all sectors of society, aiming to make significant contributions to the construction of a digital China, according to Chen.
