The second Longyan Cultural and Tourism Development Conference will be held both online and offline in Longyan, East China's Fujian province, from Sept 29 to Oct 4, according to a news conference held in Beijing on Sept 4.
The offline event will focus on Longyan's tulou sites and rich cultural and tourism attractions. It will feature an array of activities meant to showcase the traditional customs of the Hakka people. The online event will feature an opening ceremony, exhibitions, releases, and livestreams.
Authorities have said that the event will offer a platform for showcasing the great potential of Longyan's cultural and tourism industries and the innovative achievements of the integrated development of culture and tourism.
Several boutique cultural tourism routes and a Hakka food festival will be launched during the event as well, enabling visitors experience authentic and traditional Hakka culture.
A special tourism activity entitled "travel in Longyuan for one yuan ($0.14)" will also be launched during the second Longyan Cultural and Tourism Development Conference. It will run from Oct 9 to Nov 8 and promote the city's rich tourism resources, the long history of the Hakka people, and the history of the Chinese revolution in the first half of last century.
