Fujian sends 11th medical team to aid Wuhan

The 11th group of 172 medical workers left East China's Fujian province for Wuhan, the city hardest hit by the epidemic in China, to help in the fight against novel coronavirus pneumonia on Feb 20.
The 172 medical workers are from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and medical institutions in Zhangzhou, Nanping and Ningde.
They included experienced clinicians and nurses from the departments of pneumology, infections, intensive care, traditional Chinese medicine, and anesthesiology.
Yu Weiguo, secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Tang Dengjie, Fujian province governor, praised the efforts these “Everyday Heroes” have made in the fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan.
As of Feb 20, Fujian had sent a total of 1,384 medical staff to help Hubei fight against the deadly novel coronavirus pneumonia.
