Cangshan district in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian province has rolled out a series of measures for enterprises to speed up production and resume work smoothly in an effort to provide supplies to curb the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.

Companies contributing to epidemic prevention and control are encouraged to begin operations as soon as possible.

Fujian Fran Optics Company, a high-tech enterprise engaged in the research, development and production of optical products, made sure it was fully prepared before resuming work.

The company has allowed more than 30 employees to return to work to manufacture non-contact infrared thermometers, which are widely used in crowded public areas such as airports, train stations and hospitals.

Currently, the company can provide 1,000 to 2,000 thermometers per day and in the near future will mobilize all available employees in Fujian to speed up the restoration and expansion of production as soon as possible, according to Pan Minzhong, president of the company.

Ruijie Networks, a Chinese network solutions provider, undertook a network connection project for Xiaotangshan-style hospitals in Hubei, including the 1,000-bed Dabieshan Regional Medical Center in Huang Gang, which had been put into operation on January 28, as well as Huoshenshan Hospital (with 1,000 beds and covering 34,000 square meters) in Wuhan.

"We have stocked up on medical supplies, taken epidemic prevention measures and made emergency plans to tighten our management on the resumption of work. We currently have 60 local staff members working," said a manager at the company.

In addition, several leading enterprises are preparing to resume work and production with the help of the local government.

Government officials of Cangshan district organized an emergency response team to deal with problems faced by enterprises during the epidemic, helping ease the shortage of medical supplies, including masks, protective clothing, and sterilization and disinfectants.

Recently, the district introduced 13 new measures, including financial support, technical transformation and upgrading, and talent and employment support to encourage small- and medium-sized enterprises to resume production as early as possible.
