Dell is upbeat about its future development in Fujian province as it plans to expand investment and introduce high value-added products to the province, noted Huang Chenhong, president of Dell Greater China on July 5.

Huang made the remarks whiling attending a Fujian promotional conference attended by multiple multinational companies in Beijing.

The conference came as a significant part of a global promotional event launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fujian provincial people's government.

Dell Technologies is an American multinational computer technology company. In 2018, the company's revenue reached $91.3 billion yuan, an increase of 14 percent year-on-year, as per its financial report.

In 1998, Dell entered the market in China and chose Xiamen for its headquarters. Since then, the company has continued to grow rapidly.

Dell now has two world-leading manufacturing plants in Xiamen, producing high value-added products such as desktop computers, laptops, network connectors and memorizers.

Huang said that Fujian's continuously improving business climate and solid support from local governments at different levels have bolstered Dell's confidence in further growth in China, adding that the company plans to increase investment in the province.

He also pointed out that companies should align development principles with a nation's development strategy, which is crucial to their success, and form mutually beneficial relationships with local governments.

Localization is the only way to see strong development in China, Huang said.
