A rural tourism festival opened in Yuezhou village in Yongtai county of Fuzhou on Apr 7, attracting more than 200 visitors.
In addition to enjoying rustic rural views, visitors to the village also played around a straw maze, shopped at a local bazaar and relished local snacks.
According to Weng Guoping, head of the Fuzhou municipal bureau of culture and tourism, rural tourism has emerged as a pivotal driver of tourism growth in Fuzhou.
The event, jointly sponsored by the bureau and the Yongtai government, is part of the city's efforts to promote rural vitalization and beautiful village construction.
