China Continent Insurance is a national property insurance company established in Shanghai on Oct 15, 2003, with a registered capital of over 15.1 billion yuan ($2.19 billion). It ranked 6th nationwide in terms of insurance revenue in 2017, and was rated A (excellent) for Financial Strength Ratings and Issuer Credit Ratings by the A.M. Best Co for four consecutive years from 2014 to 2017.

It has 35 branches and over 2,000 operating agencies in all China's provinces except Tibet, with the staff number exceeding 50,000. It mainly works on property insurance, casualty insurance, liability insurance and health insuance.
