The Cross-Straits Children's Art Exhibition kicked off at the Fujian provincial art gallery in Fuzhou, capital city of Fujian on May 26.
As a key component of the program sponsored by the Taiwan Office of the State Council to promote cultural exchanges with Taiwan, the event celebrates its ninth edition this year.
The exhibition, featuring a collection of paintings drawn by the children from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, is scheduled to run until Jun 3.
Meanwhile, in a move to marking the 10th anniversary of the Wenchuan earthquake, a special display zone exhibiting the works by the children from the disaster-stricken area was also erected.
