Covering a construction area of 2.4 hectares, Binhai Performance Center provides audiences with unparalleled visual and aural experiences. Its opera theater can hold more than 1,000 people and the multifunction experimental theater has a capacity of more than 300. The center's advanced facilities allows for various performances, including operas, dance operas, plays, symphony concerts, Chinese regional operas and galas.

Since the center opened in October 2017, it has hosted world classics and high-quality Chinese original productions, such as Turandot (opera), Swan Lake (ballet), the 2019 New Year concert performed by the Royal Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Manas (an opera based on a Khalkhas epic) and a violin recital by Xue Wei, (a world-class Chinese violinist).

Binhai Performance Center is also home to a professional planning and directing team that hosts important activities and events in Tianjin.
