Tianjin Salt Industry Tourist Area (National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Base)

Located in the northern part of Binhai New Area, the Tianjin Changlu Hangu salt field was built in AD 925. The sea salt produced here was tributes to the imperial families during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is known as "Lutai Yusha", one of China’s time-honored brands. The salt field covers an area of 96 square kilometers and features spaces such as Bagua beach cultural square, ancient beach ruins, observation decks, colorful salt fields and a salt industry exhibition hall. It provides services such as popular science lessons on sea salt, research tours and Red culture-related tours.
