Tang Ying, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency, announced on June 17 that in response to the continued spread of Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa, the Chinese government has decided to provide additional emergency humanitarian assistance on top of its previous anti-epidemic support to the affected countries.
Tang said that China will provide more assistance to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, offer Uganda a batch of anti-epidemic supplies, and continue to support the work of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, all in a bid to help Africa overcome the epidemic at an early date.
