CIDCA chairman meets ITC executive director

Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Pamela Coke-Hamilton, executive director of the International Trade Centre (ITC), on June 15.

Chen said that the China-proposed Global Development Initiative (GDI) is in full alignment with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, receiving widespread support from the international community.

Chen added that the CIDCA is ready to enhance communication and coordination with the ITC, continuously expand trilateral cooperation and enhance the trade capacity of developing countries, so as to advance the implementation of the GDI and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in a coordinated manner.

Highly praising the Chinese leadership’s great vision in proposing the GDI, Hamilton expressed a willingness to further the cooperation with the CIDCA in areas such as trade and investment, in a bid to help developing countries seize development opportunities and promote sustainable development through trade.
