BISU and Hacettepe University leaders hold talks in Beijing on Oct 27.

Yang extended a warm welcome to the visitors and briefed them on the university's history, academic structure and disciplinary strengths. Noting that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye, he said bilateral relations have developed steadily and that BISU's friendly ties with Hacettepe University and other Turkish institutions have continued to grow.

Internationalization is a defining feature of BISU, Yang said, adding that the university looks forward to expanding cooperation with Hacettepe in research, academic exchanges, artificial intelligence and people-to-people exchanges, and to welcoming Hacettepe faculty and students to study and participate in exchange activities at BISU.

Güran thanked Yang for the warm reception and spoke highly of BISU's strengths in language and tourism studies. He outlined Hacettepe University's profile and proposed cooperation on student exchange, academic collaboration, cultural exchange and joint programs.

The two universities renewed their framework cooperation agreement after the talks.
