BISU organizes youth camp to foster China-Russia cultural exchange

The 2026 CCN Russia Youth Student Camp, themed "Bridge Connects China, Language Unites the World", took place at the Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on July 8.

This summer camp aims to offer participants an authentic look at China, further solidifying the foundation for friendly exchanges between Russian and Chinese youth.

During the six-day event, 48 Russian students and teachers will take part in immersive activities such as Chinese language learning, traditional Chinese cultural experience, and city visits.

In his welcoming speech, BISU Vice-President Zheng Chengjun welcomed the Russian participants and introduced the university's international education features and achievements in cultural exchanges.

Zheng noted that 2026 marks the China-Russia Years of Education, highlighting that the youth of both countries are the driving force in fostering bilateral exchanges. He encouraged the participants to actively immerse themselves in cultural experiences and interactions, broadening their horizons through travel and growing through learning.

Representatives of the Russian participants expressed gratitude for BISU's meticulous preparations and looked forward to broadening their perspectives and enhancing the friendship between the two countries through the special courses offered.

The launch of this summer camp provides an excellent platform for interaction and exchange between Chinese and Russian youth, effectively expanding channels for international cultural exchange.

In the future, BISU plans to leverage its disciplinary strengths and international education advantages to continue offering diverse exchange programs for youth from different countries, thereby deepening the mutual understanding and appreciation of global civilizations.
