The Lihua 16 docked at Taidi Petrochemical Terminal in the Haicang Port Area of Xiamen Free Trade Zone on June 22, marking the official start of operations at the terminal. The new facility will strengthen the development of the Southeast International Shipping Center and bolster Xiamen's role as a national logistics hub.
The terminal features a 50,000-ton liquid chemical berth, with its marine structures designed to accommodate vessels of up to 100,000 tons. It has a total length of 280 meters and covers an area of 153,000 square meters. The supporting storage area includes 27 tanks for oil and chemical products, with a total capacity of 195,000 cubic meters, and is equipped with pump shelters, loading and unloading platforms, and other auxiliary facilities.

As a key part of the liquid bulk cargo layout in the Haicang Port Area, the terminal will form a large-scale storage and transport cluster together with Berths 9, 10, and 12. This will strengthen Xiamen's large-scale oil transshipment capacity and help establish a petrochemical distribution hub for southwestern Fujian.
